Welcome to my new all singing and all dancing website, which I am confident will add another dimension to Will Coleman Equestrian. Through this website you are going to be able to access the horses, the facility and myself. This site is going to be very hardworking, informative, and I hope, amusing, as I report back on the daily happenings at Tivoli Farm. Today was a first in many ways. Firstly the website nearing completion. I am now just having to play with it and come to understand how to maximize the potential it offers me. And secondly because two new horses arrived from the UK. I recently went over to the UK specifically to look at horses that had been recommended to me. The trip also coincided with the Final Trial for the USA Olympic Team at the picturesque and scenic Barbury Castle, so I was able to see familiar faces and absorb the atmosphere of a Premier Event in the UK. I have had the great fortune to ride at major Events over there, namely Bramham and Burghley. The settings for Horse Trials in the UK are outstanding. Not only can you ride but also catch up on your History lessons, as so many of the Events are held at Stately homes. The Brits are very fortunate, and it is no surprise to me that so many of the great International Competitors choose to base themselves there. The two new horses who came down the ramp at Tivoli Farm are Bartley Mill an eight year old Irish Bred horse, and Oboe O'Reilly. Bartley came from William Fox Pitt who won Burghley International CCI **** Three Day Event this weekend on the cheeky Tamarillo, as well as coming second on Ballincoola. He was able to ride into the arena to jump his final round in the glorious position of knowing that come what may he had won. It just depended on which horse! He now emulates the great Kiwi's Mark Todd and Blyth Tait in finishing first and second in the same year. Five year old Oboe is a lovely prospect with huge potential, and has such quality about him. I can't wait until he reaches the age of seven. I will be uploading their pictures soon. The Girls, Ali and Andrea, and myself are about to turn Oboe out for the first time. His first graze on American soil. I hope he approves! CLICK HERE to VIEW ALL our Daily News ... |
