At Will Coleman Equestrian, we pride ourselves on being a professional and efficient organization. Just like any corporation or business, everyone in our program has a specific role and a specific job description, which they are expected to live up to every single day. Without each member of our team, we would be unable to attain the success we have achieved. These are the unsung heroes at WCE and the people who most deserve recognition and praise for their hard work.
Sarah Rupert: Groom/Rider
Sarah joined the team in November of 2015 with her young Irish mare ‘Mouse’ and hasn’t looked back. Sarah is a fantastic worker, light hearted by nature and a great jockey to boot. She’s the kind of girl that doesn’t mind to stay late to take her beloved Soupçon out for an extra long hack at the end of a hard day. We enjoy her laughs and great attitude and look forward to helping her achieve her goals with her mare while here at WCE.
Chelsey Sevigny: Groom/Rider
Chelsey has been an incredible addition to the team. A former student of John and Suzy Elliot, she brings many years of eventing experience to the table. She and her husband recently moved to nearby Louisa County and we’re thrilled to have her in the neighborhood! Chelsey brought along her 9 yr old TB gelding “Nick”.
* Update* Our beloved Chelsey is expecting! Congratulations to Chelsey and her husband Michael as they look forward to their new addition early this winter!
Anna came us this fall from Dayton, Ohio. Having previously held a head girl position she comes with some valuable experience and a phenomenal attitude. Anna has brought along her 8 year old ISH gelding ‘Carter’ and has hopes of getting back out on the competition scene next season. One thing you should know about Anna is that she is a die hard Cubs fan! Cubs win!
Lauren Tucci: Groom/Rider
Lauren used to be a thoroughbred exercise jockey who only knew about english riding from what she could watch on Instagram and YouTube videos. Now she’s experiencing it first hand as she learns the ropes here as a full time eventing groom. She is gritty and determined and has a heart of gold. We are thrilled to have her on the team.
“Elliot Jennings of Brandywine Forge is our dedicated, faithful farrier. A native of London England, Elliot is a former assistant to Steve Teichman and Chester County Farriers and has shod for the US Team for a number of years. He truly cares about the success and well being of our horses and we feel lucky to have him both as our farrier and a friend.”
Alan Berardo: Farrier
Having 24 horses on the road means needing more than one farrier! Alan Berardo of Omega Farriers came back on the East Coast scene last summer and we are thrilled to have him back on the team. Also a former student of Chester County Farriers and Steve Teichman, Alan is a fantastic tradesman and we are so lucky to have him. Alan is always up for a good chat about life and philosophy and brings a refreshing perspective to the job.
